I think Howard did some of his best work in his two films with Jerry Lewis.  . .THE NUTTY PROFESSOR and WAY WAY OUT. He almost stole the movie from Lewis during his brief scenes in THE NUTTY PROFESSOR. And in WAY WAY OUT, Lewis amost plays straight man and lets Howard and Dick Shawn take center stage with the film's most outrageous comedy moments. This film is one of my all-time favorites - I only wish a dvd release would be in the near future.

I also loved Howard in BOY'S NIGHT OUT - so great to see him playing a straight romantic role. Fans who've only seen Howard on Andy Griffith may be shocked to see how easily he handles a conventional romantic-comedy character.

And having seen both versions of DON'T DRINK THE WATER (Howard's 60's film starring Jackie Gleason and the more recent tv movie directed by Woody Allen) there's no contest that the earlier film directed by Howard is far superior and funnier than even Woody Allen's film of his own play! Howard's film is hard to find as the video is long out of print, so here's hoping that this great Howard Morris film gets a  DVD release - hopefully soon!
